AMoB Part 4: 4th of July at the Esplanade

starielI'm lucky enough to have friends who are nuts amazing enough to get up at o'dark-thirty and go down to reserve fabulous seats on the Esplanade for the fireworks. It's become a 4th of July tradition!
I was still asleep when they got there, but I headed out around noon - just in time to catch a rainstorm on my way - and spent most of the day hanging around the esplanade. We manage to amuse ourselves:
We spend the day hanging out knitting, playing cards, consuming plenty of snacks... There are beautiful views of the river and the boats on it:
The Boston Pops play, there are patriotic sing-alongs, and when it gets late enough there are fireworks.
Even Tesla watched!
