Wednesday Blog Challenge
Mar. 29th, 2007 10:53 pmI found this via a non-LJ friend and thought it would be a good way to get some content in my LJ without boring you guys with my rants about bad drivers in Boston (yes, again!) and how much my life sucks. ;)
This week's challenge: Make a list of your favorite books. Include a line or two about the general idea of the book.
Catcher In the Rye ~ I really love this book. I know it's a "classic" and they make you read it in school, but I guess reading it for the first time it really hit home. The feeling that the world isn't changing with you as you get older and the struggle to define yourself is something I think most people can relate to.
To Kill a Mockingbird ~ Just because... it is that awesome.
Stardust ~ I like this book because 1. It has stars in it. 2. It's a fairy tale for grown-ups!
The Alchemist ~ Paulo Coelho is one of my favorite authors, and I've read many of his books but this one is short and sweet.
A Prayer for Owen Meany ~ One of the funniest books I've ever read. My aunt made me and I was really glad, then later we saw a stage production of one chapter that was hilarious.
