Finishing Carnivale

Tonight I watched the last episode of the 2 season HBO series, Carnivale. I really enjoyed it, the cinematography was gorgeous and, although the plot was very strange, the characters are compelling. However, since they didn't know until after the final episode that the show wouldn't be continued... well, you know how it goes and I don't want to give anything away.
