A good weekend for pets
Jul. 25th, 2006 10:52 pmThis weekend I headed out with Cathy to look at cell phones and go to Petsmart to get a new litterbox and a tank stand for the 20 gallon that
caflygrl's boyfriend so generously gifted me. The plan is to turn the 20 gallon to the freshwater tank (with the current inhabitants of the 40 gallon) and turn my 40 gallon to a saltwater tank. :) However, this requires many trips to the fish store.
Well we went to Petsmart and got the tank stand and 4 tiger barbs, but sadly they were out of the litterbox I wanted. (The same one
caflygrl's boyfriend has for his two cats.)
I returned home and called her to express my joy at purchasing a tank stand and they happened to be by a Petco and offered to pick up the litterbox for me. Thanks guys! It's really great. Basically it is a low-tech "self cleaning" litterbox. It has a little grate and you flip the thing on it's top and it sifts the clean litter and seperates the clumps into a pull out drawer thing. It's amazing. Scooping the litterbox is no longer a chore and takes all of 2 minutes. (Do I sound like a commercial or what?)
