Last night on the T
Feb. 19th, 2006 01:00 pmYesterday I went to Newbury St. to do a little shopping. We went to Espresso Royale and had some chai and bagel sandwiches and chatted and knitted.
On the way home it was SO COLD that I decided to take the T and pay a token instead of just walking 15 minutes to the above ground stop and taking it for free. When I got home I found out that with windchill it was -2 degrees F, so I was probably right to take the T.
Sitting in the station waiting for my train and knitting I heard a sound like a two year old throwing a tantrum. Except the two year old had a very adult voice. But you know, the whiny shrieks... anyway, it was a college age girl. She was making these whiny shrieking noises, stomping her feet, and then threw her milkshake onto the tracks. In the process she got milkshake all over the back of her coat. Her friends were trying to calm her down and clean off her coat, and then she stormed out.
I think everyone in the station was trying not to giggle.
