My first day of teaching went fine!
Yay! I taught, I survived, but my students didn't eat the donut holes. :( Oh well, not a big disaster.
I started off by passing around the donut holes and asking for questions. To my surprise I actually got quite a few - from run-of-the-mill ones about material that was confusing in lecture to really random ones because they were interested (yay!) After quite a few questions we went over a problem from their practice problems that ended up being pretty challenging. Actually it required algebra with 3 equations and 3 variables to solve for a distance - tricky! Then it was about time to be over and everyone left happy and hopefully understanding things better. :)
Now I'm in lab running a genotyping PCR and about to go program the robot.
